Why This Work Matters

Our partnership with the three maternity hospitals in Ulaanbaatar expands access to congenital heart disease screening in regions where early diagnosis is often difficult. CHD is the most common birth defect worldwide, yet in Mongolia, early diagnosis can be delayed due to geographic distances, limited equipment, and a shortage of specialists.

One Heart Health helps bridge this gap by equipping local healthcare workers with the One Heart App and digital stethoscopes, making early screening possible in more settings. Providers can analyze heart sounds in real time and consult remote cardiologists, expanding access to care and building a sustainable model for pediatric heart health.

Looking Ahead

Over the next 12 months, One Heart Health and our partners in Mongolia are on track to screen more than 5,000 children for congenital heart disease. Through this program, we expect to identify children with previously undiagnosed heart defects and connect them to life-saving follow-up care and intervention.

We will also train 10 additional local doctors to use the One Heart App and digital stethoscopes, helping expand a sustainable screening network across Mongolia and building long-term local diagnostic capacity.

2026 Objectives

• Train 10 additional doctors in Mongolia
• Screen 5,000 children for CHD
• Identify 50 children with undiagnosed CHD and connect them to life-saving care
