Spring 2019 Update
2019 has been off to a strong start, and we couldn’t have done it without you. From our progress in developing a scalable, telemedicine solution for Congenital Heart Disease screening to the impact our screening programs have created in the lives of children and families in rural China, you pitched in and made all the difference.
On behalf of the One Heart Health team, I want to thank you. We are grateful for every dollar you gave, which has enabled us to grow our reach and impact on children with Congenital Heart Disease.
In 2019, our goal is to screen 30,000 children
We’d like to welcome two new screening program partners: Gansu Women and Children’s Hospital and Shanghai Children’s Hospital! This year, our goal is to screen 30,000 new-born, pre-school, and school-aged children for Congenital Heart Disease. Your support provides hardware and program support for each of our screening partners in the field. Thank you!
Building a secure, scalable telemedicine solution
Our One Heart App is a telemedicine system that enables earlier diagnosis of Congenital Heart Disease in children in low resource settings. To-date, our screening program partners, Kunming Medical University 1st Affiliated Hospital Cardiology and LinXiang County Women and Children’s Hospital, have used the One Heart App to record and share over 800 heart sounds for high-quality CHD screening, diagnosis and treatment in rural Yunnan, China. As we continue to grow, security and privacy are a priority. We have enhanced the scalability and security of our technology by successfully migrating to secure, cloud servers.
We want to thank you again for your generous support and donation in the past. With your support, we are committed to give Every Child Born with Heart Disease Gets a Chance to Live a Healthy Life.
I look forward to all that we can continue to build together!
Sincerely,
Quan Ni, PhD
Executive Director of One Heart Health.
