Impact

CHD remains a leading cause of death in young children—especially in areas with limited access to specialized pediatric care. In Nigeria, delayed diagnosis often means missed opportunities for treatment. Our screening program tackles this issue head-on by training frontline healthcare workers to identify CHD using cost-effective, accessible technology. Using a digital stethoscope and the One Heart App, providers can analyze heart sounds in real time and consult remote cardiologists, transforming access to care and creating a sustainable, scalable model for pediatric heart health.
  • 2,500+ children screened with the One Heart App
  • 150+ diagnosed with CHD
  • 100% connected to lifesaving intervention
Beyond immediate impact, our screening programs build lasting diagnostic capacity within Nigeria’s healthcare system, empowering local providers and establishing a sustainable screening network to protect thousands of children in the years ahead.

Looking Ahead

One Heart Health is expanding its congenital heart disease (CHD) screening program across Nigeria, aiming to reach thousands of children in underserved communities. This initiative builds on our strong local partnerships and growing network of trained healthcare professionals, using our mobile app and digital stethoscope to bring advanced heart screenings where they’re needed most. With a goal to screen 10,000 children over the next year, our program empowers local doctors and nurses with AI-powered tools to detect heart abnormalities early—when intervention is most effective.
